...game consoles, etc? Do you think its wrong for parents to buy their kids Blackberries and Touch Screen Phones, PS3's, Xbox 360's, ETC. I don't think its wrong. But only if the child deserved to get those things. I got a PS3 and a touch screen phone because I deserve to get these things. I don't see nothing wrong with parents buying their kids video games, and new cell phones. But if the child didn't do anything to deserve a video game system or a cell phone then they can't get one at all period. I know im only 20 but I can't stand kids who are spoiled. I know a girl who buys her son anything he wants even he DOESN'T deserve it SHE WILL STILL BUY IT. That ridiculous in my opinion.

Kids should earn things and have them in moderation. No elementary school child, or middle school child for that matter needs a super high tech phone. Just one that will make calls is about all they need. Then, when middle school roles around, sure, go ahead with the texting-but keep it under control. In high school, things can get a little more high tech because at that point, you're preparing your child for the world. Go ahead, get a phone with internet, get a phone built for texting. In fact, get them a blackberry and teach them how to use it properly, with the email and contacts interfacment and such. Because soon, these won't just be their phones-they will be school and business tools.
