They don't like each other anymore than just being best friends.
I would say he's almost like a big brother to her, but it's not really like that.
Is age just a number?
 
When I was 17 my boyfriend was 24. And we allmost got married a few years later, but eventually broke up.

Oh and my best friend was 27. It's a he, and he never tried to get anything from me except my friendship. We stil are friends today, 7 years later. Yeah, age is just a number
