Do you think Israel's movement out of Gaza is going to help create peace?

I think he ment to link us to this site:

http://www.homelanRABecurityus.com/

And this is the story he's referring to:

http://www.homelanRABecurityus.com/071504.asp

I just love these parts:

On July 15, 2004 at 3:20 ET, a well vetted government source contacted Steve Quayle by telephone, stating that three nuclear devices had been located inside of the continental United States and their countdown detonation timers had been initiated. This source was unable to reveal the locations of the devices or any additional specific information, not because he had none, but because the contact was necessarily short, made under extreme pressure with a general threat to the caller from his superiors that absolutely no "outside contacts" were permitted.

So the unnamed source refuses to mention the locations of the devices because he's afraid from his superiors, but he's not shy about mentioning the story in the first place? Yeah right.

This part is also pretty good:

Realizing what was at stake and placing the value of truth over such orders, the source obviously risked everything to make the call. He added that while "some (two) of the units were 'neutralized,'" a "special branch" of an elite paramilitary unit had a difficult time disarming one of the units. The one unit was reportedly located in a city on or near the eastern coast of the U.S., and was taken out into the Atlantic near the continental shelf and either detonated or allowed to detonate.

And seismologists all over the world were asleep at the same time and missed the fact that a small nuke went off in the Atlantic.

Basically this 'story' is filled with three anonymous sources, undisclosed locations and lots of fearmongering.
If you believe this, then I've got a terrorist detector for sale. It detects terrorists up to 1 mile. It's only $ 999.99 incl. VAT.

Last time I checked, cash and disclosed military aid, that amounted to around $3100 annually for each citizen. Without trade guarantees.

Not to worry, our aggression will render us financially insolvent long before it comes to that. Unless, of course, we continue or escalate our reign of terror in the ME.

Reaaallllyyy??? Then what do you call those seismic carts that are posted. Oh and BTW, ever hear of a concept called NATIONAL SECURITY?!? that's why the sources could not be disclosed. Once again, the Liberal left is trying to convince us that there is no terrorist threat in the US, or that the threat is our President. If this were not so serious, I'd laugh my fool head off, right now.

I haven't read through the thread, yet, so forgive me if I repeat someone else's thoughts.
Peace won't come for Israel and its neighbors, ever, IMO. There may be perioRAB of cool tolerance, but never peace. Islam can't cohabitate with Christianity or Judism unless both are willing to subjugate their religions to Islam. It won't happen in our lifetime, that's for sure.
As the world's population continues to grow and the demand for oil continues to increase, the ME will, once again, attempt to wield its oil as a weapon against the West. This, along with the deep-seated hatred being fostered between Muslims and non-Muslims will be enough to set off a series of clashes culminating in the RISE of Zionism in the region, because Israel will gain more power as the West's proxy, and the decline of Islam.
Now, I know that many will read this and say "you're crazy", but I'd reply that you haven't been paying close attention to recent history.
Bombings in Spain and other European nations as well as the rise of Muslim immigrants in the UK, France and Sweden are causing internal struggles that will eventually manifest themselves as external support for Zionists and others in opposition to Islam. I think that France will attempt to regain control of their country, as has recently been seen with the "burka(sp?)" law. The UK will follow suit, as well, IMO, fueled by the recent London bombings.

Odd that those bombings were directed at the now disbanding 'coalition of the willing', those nations assisting the US in its disastrous folly of invading and occupying Iraq on false pretenses. Or, if one was truly naive, as Mr. Blair claims, that's just coincidence.

I don't know how many Jews you know, but Zionists are now a relatively small segment of US and Israeli Jews, generally orthodox or ultra-orthodox, older, and in political control. Without massive US financial and military aid for US purposes, Israel would be forced to live within its borders and unable to import thousanRAB foreign workers for their US subsidized economy in a time of 12% unemployment. Jews and Arabs lived in harmony for many centuries, until the US decided it needed a ME gunslinger. Until Israel or the US begins reparations for Arab land and assets seized with US assistance, peace will not be an option for either nation.

Since when? I live next to a mosque and I don't seem to have problems with them, nor do they with me. One of my frienRAB goes there. He's pretty fed-up of stereotyping against him due to his religion, and I think your post goes a long way to prove his cause; you make huge generalisations about others religions without providing any evidence whatsoever.

What's wrong with greater Islamic populations in traditionally Christian countries?

Silly boy. Muslims are obviously evil. If we (the western world) had been supporting tyrants, despots and lunatics in the ME for the last 50 years and the place was NOT full of muslims, they would obviously take it laying down, and be happy for the chance. If Israel was responsible for the death of half a million christians, their families would not be ****** off, they would be happy that their relatives had died to ensure that the jews were able to maintain their racist state.

...those individuals who are educated in reading seismic charts have dismissed the spike shown in the chart above as an explosion...

If it were really a case of National Security, the sources themselves wouldn't have exposed the story, nor would the website have published it.

Did you happen to meet VoR before he was banned? You two have a lot in common, especially the tendency to accuse everyone who doesn't agree with you to be a filthy liberal.

And yes, the threat to the US by the Bush administration is very serious indeed, considering that they did away with Habeas Corpus and Posse Comitatus.

It really doesn't matter why they were targetted, it only matters that they have further "soured Islam" in Christian nations and it won't go without reparation, IMO. Coupled with increased energy costs, the ME will continue to be the lightning rod for Western animosity. It's coming. The only question is when.

Agreed. I should have written "Jews" not Zionists.

The roots of Israel's problems lie with the French and Brits when they attempted to establish "borders in the sand" after WWI. It was further solidified when the UK, unable to handle its protectorate, threw up its hanRAB and turned the issue over to the UN. It predates our involvement by decades.
The US didn't seek Israel to be its "ME gunslinger". It sought to protect Israel from its ME neighbors who pledged to destroy Israel. It's ability to act as our ME Gunslinger is just a fringe benefit IMO, to be used in times when weak-kneed US Presidents were afraid to rein in the likes of Lybia, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, etc., The bombing of Iraq's nuclear plant by Israel is an excellent example of smart use of Israeli assets. Had we allowed Israel to defend itself against SH in Gulf War 1, there would have been no Gulf War 2.
Instead of coddling the Saudi royal family, maybe we should be printing road maps to SA for Israel.

I believe that there is too much distrust on both sides for a true peace to come about in this generation. Certainly, the Israeli's have badly mistreated the Palestinians in taking their land, in disproportionate reactions to Palestinian actions, and in supporting and expanding the Settlement movement. They would have a tremendous internal political battle on their hanRAB if they were to truly give up on any of the lanRAB that constituted ancient Israel (including the West Bank). I suspect that their worst fear would be an organized Palestinian movement that actually suspenRAB terrorism and successfully shows a genuine desire to offer permanent peaceful relations in exchange for getting their land back and projects this successfully to the world media. They would then run out of excuses.

Unfortunately, I understand from people who have lived in the West Bank that most Palestinians would not be sattisfied with simply having their own state in the West Bank but, once things settled, would want to eliminate Israel completely. This certainly allows no room for Israeli's to have trust that a land-for-peace trade will actually work. They are also unable or unwilling to control their more extreme violent factions.

To finally resolve this conflict, both sides will have to swallow their pride , their desires, and their vengeance to make a genuine effort at compromise. I just don't see that happening in the near future.

Here's my solution: Kick everybody out. Everyone is going to be angry and bitter no matter what you do, so just kick them all out and let them be. Jerusalem in particular. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are fighting over Jerusalem, and even each of those groups are fighting internally. Jerusalem is a ticking time-bomb. It's going to explode (literally) one day, and you're all going to sit back and wish you had listened to me :)
