Do you think if an athlete has a sex change, that they should be allowed to compete...?

I was having a discussion about sex changes the other day. I was saying if they were born male and had a sex change, that they'd then be a female, no matter what. But then they brought up the discussion about if they had a sex change and were in the Olympics. At first I said whatever sex change they had, then they should be allowed into that one. Example, if a male competes in running, after the sex change, they should be allowed into the female races. But then they made the good argument about how they have more hormones, or something, making it unfair. So with that good point, I'm now unsure.
