A person that I know (not very well) has asked me to go along to their introduction evening. I have Googled them but can't get thatmuch information, but I have some other friends that believe it is a cult. Any ideas on whether I should go?

I went for the intro evening.
Its like a 3 day course. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tuesday is the intro evening and you can clear any doubts you have.

I dont want to be pessimistic but these courses are intentionally vague in what they cover so that they can push you into doing it. Its kind of about changing the way you perceive things and programming yourself to be more goal oriented (i know that was vague but thats what i got). I wont say whether this course is right for you because i cant say that any course is right or wrong for you. The whole idea is if you go in with an open mind and positive attitude then you are bound to pick something good up. If you go in with a negative or pessimistic attitude then you wont really pick anything up.
Just remember that you have to apply the things you learn to your life so unless you want to make an effort to do that, dont take a course of this kind. Its not worth it.

It is like a cult. One thing they do is try and get you to drag every single person you know to a meeting to try and "convert" them.
Isn't that JUST the situation YOU are describing right now?
