I’m not sure you’re liberal enough to make it as a mainstream poet in this country, but then that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I suggest you try your hand at political satire first. Write a book of political advice and see were that leads. Even if it sucks, guys would still buy it if it had your picture on the cover! (Never underestimate the power of positive marketing or the basic wiring of the male brain)

Based on that, no. That's just rhyming. There is no passion or imagination in it.

first of all, it's a slant rhyme not an actual rhyme.
second of all, his name is Barack. his middle name is Hussein. so people actually would call him either President Barack or President Obama. but not President Hussein.
Additionally, his policies are not the same as Bush's. if they were, do you think we'd have such an "uproar" from Republicans?
So, all in all, you could not become a famous poet.
