I like to say first, This is a real problem for me and i ask you please to answer with respect and not brush it under the table, That i am finding in other forums.

When i was in my teens i had a small patch of hair, Around 1 inch. as i got older i was embarrass by this and shaved it, But over time my back became very hair in that my whole body is cover in hair. from my back to my shoulders and front. Do you think i could have a hormonal problem or is it just life.. My children are suffering with me having this problem, because i will not go into a pool, And they are the only ones that can not and will not get into the pool. I am also a very depress person.

I have had waxing and it grows back within a couple of weeks.

The only way to know if it is a hormonal problem is if you go to the doctor and get blood tests. If you're asking whether anyone on this board can tell you definitively that you have a hormonal problem just by you telling us that you have a body hair issue then the answer is - no one here can answer that question.

Find a doctor who would be willing to do hormonal blood tests and find out what's going on. That's the only way you will know for sure.

In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with being hairy. You're a guy, you're supposed to be hairy! You're not supposed to be all smooth like a woman. A lot of women find it appealing for a guy to be really hairy because it's supposed to be a sign of virility. Stop being so self conscious about something that is completely normal for your gender.

I agree with Tivo, it's a natural part of being human. If it bothers you that much your other option would electrolysis. It would be costly, and there is no guarantee that it would all go away with the first round either. Be thankfull that you are whole and healthy.

If you feen that uncomfortable about it, wear a t-shirt in the pool and just tell folks you had a sun burn and are being careful.
