Do you think he was joking, or just got carried away?

I've been spending a lot of time with this boy recently, we get on really well and although we're not going out officially, it's more like we're seeing each other.

But the other day I was at his house and we had spent the entire day together. Suddenly he just came out with "Will you marry me?" and I looked at him and he looked really sincere but I just laughed because I didn't really know what else to do, he just kind of smiled and then it came up in conversation and I said "Oh and when you said will you marry me I didn't know whether you were being serious or not?" and he just went "Mmmm."

Is that the kind of thing you joke about or is it possible he just got caught up in the moment?

It might have been him being in the moment. A guy friend did that to me one time (he was in the moment) but I didn't laugh, I told him "of course" but when he went to find a ring to put on my finger, I freaked. He was serious! Just be sensitive and understanding. Did he look hurt when you laughed? He probably was caught up in the moment.

he probably just really fancies you and his lust for you got mixed up with love for you. if u like him you should still go out, after a talk

the only time "I'd", "just come out with, will you marry me?" is just after hearing, "and i'm pregnant!"

a real proposal is planned for, thought out, includes a ring and maybe even a few props.

He probably just got caught up in the moment. But you should just talk to him and see what he says about it. It could go any way.

It sounds as if he got carried away, maybe it has been a long time or is the first time that he's felt a connection to someone and became over-excited. Or he may hold you in high regard or have what can only be described as a 'big crush' on you.
