I keep reading on here that guests should send their gifts to the bride and grooms home rather than bring them straight to the reception, lest they burden the happy couple with bringing them back to their own home.
I dont get this. Since when did receiving a gift become a burden? And isnt it the receivers responsibility to take care of the gift after they receive it? I dont see why its so hard for the bride and groom to get the gifts back to their home.
Id love to hear everyones perspective on this!
I agree that if you are not attending the reception, its best to send it. Also with online shopping, I agree that its easier to send it directly to them, since it has to be shipped anyway (although I am always disappointed that I dont get to wrap it up pretty for the bride and groom!).
