Do you think Canada's legal system is a joke?

I'm actually trying to argue that it isn't. I was wondering if you could help me find reasons why it is effective. Also, if you do think it's a joke share your thoughts, opinions.

Thanks!

Don't know but I wouldn't want any Mounty coming after me! Research re-offending rates and conviction rates between similar size towns and cities in the US, Europe, and Canada, maybe throw in Oz, a v. similar sized but hot British colony. To me 'jokes' are police beating people half to death for nothing, tazaring for fun, shooting when unnecessary, stupid laws, daft 200 year sentences, electrocuting convicts after 30 years on death row, cruel and unusual punishment practiced against federal law. I know Canada doesn't do much of that, I think the joke is on people/countries who can only see in black and white, take the bible literally and enjoy punishing others, often even for doing the same things they do!

i worked for a lawyer and had to attend court proceedings. It is a very corrupt system, the other intern who was there was a christian and she left because she said she did not agree with some of it.
Canada's system is almost "too fair", it gets coke dealers back on the streets if the lawyer knows the right things to say. All they need to say is that their client is an addict and that they will attend Cam H or something and they can get off. The system works but it breeds repeat offenders.

US system sends one guy to jail for two years for dog fighting
Another guy kills someone in a DUI accident and gets 30 days

And you are calling the Canadian system a joke?
