Do you think Black & White Photography will still be used 50 years from now?

WIll it be changed in any way? Will it be used for the same purpose? Or will it become "extinct?"
 
im pretty sure that it will be used 50yrs from now, just who knows what for i doubt it will ever be extinct... everything is changing but some people really like how that black & white stands out from color,......... but you never know
 
Black and white has been obsolete for about fifty years.

The reason it's still alive is
1- It's "arty"
3- It's seen as somehow "true". Think about all the charity adverts that use black and white photos of suffering; they use it for a reason.
 
If I happen to be alive in 50 years I will still be using B&W. Even if I have to coat my own plates.

There is nothing as archival as a negative printed on platinum. B&W forever essentially.
