In ninth grade, I had a 96 GPA twice, with three honors classes but in tenth I began doing horrible due to depression that hit me hard. I didn't want to be in school, stopped studying or bringing books home, so I switched to an online school after my second quarter. It jump started me again and I managed to make honor roll every quarter as well.
My junior year, my depression became severe. I am now failing ALL of my classes, because I have zero motivation/I over or under sleep/and just too overwhelmed with the amount of work. I will be lucky to pass my electives and English class, I am going to request extensions for everything else, but not likely.
I guess my question is, is there any chance of getting accepted to a state college after failing so many classes first quarter? My GPA was over a 4.0 with weighted classes, but I know its going to take a huge drop now. I will go back to making honor roll for the next three quarters, because I am getting help for my depression and I never want to feel this way again. As I feel like the biggest loser.
Any personal experiences, someone going to college who failed something? Advice? Reassurance I haven't just ruined my life?
