do you think a reccesion has already started and how bad can it get?

It would be difficult to have a prolonged recession in ireland because it is in the euro zone. The European Central Bank sets interest rates based on the region as a whole. Because the baseline growth rate for Ireland will always be higher than for the core countries of Germany and France (ask me why if you're interested), you lot essentially get a free ride. Rates will always be lower than if the Bank of Ireland were setting them for your economy alone.
 
No,a slight down turn but not a recession.You have to remember Ireland has been doing phenomenally well for the past few years, it can't carry on at that pace indefinitely.Houses had become overpriced so a correction is needed anyway.There's still plenty of money around in Ireland so it'll soon pick up again.
