Do you think a degree is "required" to suceed in the business world today?

I have been working since I left school but now at 22 I am thinking of going to university. Do you think it would be worth going to get a formal degree or should I continue to work and hope not having a degree won't effect me in the future?

Would be good to hear from those who went to Uni later rather than from high school and whether people think it is worth getting a degree for whatever the future may hold or whether at this stage I should just continue to work and gain experience. Ultimately at this stage is it worth giving up most of my wage, going in to debt and putting my work life on hold to obtain a degree?

My options are:

1. Continue to work
2. Go to University (Full time)
3. Go to University (Part time) for 6 years and continue to work - I'm not sure I can wait 6 years to graduate!?

I would like your opinion, as this is a difficult decision for me to make.
