I think that these children would have a HUGE problem in dealing with the reality of life. The job of parenting IMO is preparing children for life by allowing them to fully experience all different types of people, situations and circumstances and assisting them to navigate through these situations by providing them with the tools that they will need to do so.

As we all know, the outside world is a far cry from an accepting, friendly and peaceful place and to shelter kids from the true reality of the world is doing them a huge diservice. Just my humble opinion.

accepting, friendly, peaceful people would have a harder or easier time as an adult in the dealing with rejection and cruelty?

-This was just something random that I was thinking about. I do not shelter my children from the normal aspects of life.
