Hey, I'm 17 and I've wanted to be an author since I was like 7. Really, I have lol. I've written short stories, put them online, and entered them in contests. Most people usually like the ones I put online and I usually at least place in the top during the contests. My goal is to be a bestselling author but I really just want to be published. Being a bestseller would just be amazing but I'm trying to be realistic.
So, what I was wondering was do you think a 17 year old has a chance of writing something worth publishing? I have a great idea for a book that I think has really good potential. But I just don't know if it's worth all the time to write it. Well actually, I know I'll write it because I want too and I write for myself but I don't know if I should pursue publishing it.
