Smartphone cameras have gotten good enough that they've pretty much supplanted point-and-shoot cameras for our daily picture-taking needs. Obviously, a dedicated camera is going to give you a lot that a smartphone just can't. But we're guessing most people who aren't photography buffs just don't bother carrying around an extra device when a smartphone delivers perfectly serviceable pics of family, friends, and daily life.
