of non-Western cultures? Women in non-western societies are subject to various restrictions and atrocities:
Rape epidemics in Africa
Educational limitation and other restrictions in much of the middle east
Female aborticide in China and India

If you support multiculturalism in the West, are you assuming gender attitudes wouldn't be part of it?
