Do you remember "Love, American Style"

Was just thinking . I see a lot of posts looking for old programmes to be repeated or remade but no-one ever mentions Love, American Style from the 70s. I remember it was on late night ITV It was a series of self contained 1 hour episodes tackling all aspects of the sex obsessed early 70's America and was sometimes a bit near the knuckle for it's age. Would probably do quite well on a channel like Living or Diva.

I remember "Love American Style" well! It used to feature appearances by former film stars like Debbie Reynolds, Dick Van Dyke etc. I'd love to see that series again.

I agree that it would do well on Living or Diva.

One episode of Love American Style also featured an embryonic version of Happy Days - I think Arnold the diner owner was the only cast member carried over to the series itself - if anyone's seen this episode, I'd love to know more !

gonnaenodothat.... It was on always late at night in my ITV region in '72/73. I don't recall ever watching it but it always on a Sunday night Another series latenight on ITV around then was 'The Amazing World of Kreskin' [which some would no doubt regard as another comedy] had a man who did ESP exhibitions in front of an audience. never heard from again, at least not to my memory.

I used to love two programmes, Love Boat and Married with Children.

The latter was all over the schedules, usually late at night. Towards the end of its run, iit was getting a bit self-regarding, if that's the right word, with guest stars coming on to huge applause. But at the start it was just very, very funny.

A multi story series like The Love Boat , one episode of LAS featured the pilot episode of the classic cartoon Wait Til Your Father Gets Home but it was quite annoying to find that rights issues meant the pilot show was not able to be included on the US season 1 dvd of that classic cartoon series.
