Do you prefer your fish crispy or soft?

At my local chippy the frier always makes his fish and batter soft, because he says it will last longer if it dosent sell quickly.

crispy...I use to work at a fish rest. they fry it soft, that way if it continues to sit under their light for awhile they can put it back in the grease for a few minutes. If they made it all crispy at first and it didn't get ordered, they'd have to throw it out after a little bit. If you like it crispy which most people do, tell them when you order it you want it crispy, they'll do it.... If not find a new fish rest.

it should be crispy. Thats why you are only supposed to by fish from the chippy if it is freshly fried in front of you. if it is soft this suggest that it is either a warmed up fish or one cooked the day before.

If it's soft then tell your local chippy to cook you a fresh one. they do in mine. you have to wait for 4 - 5 minutes but at least it is fresh!!!!!
