Land Rover Defender - there is no other.
I think that to build a proper 4WD it needs the ability to a) be used off road and b) be serviced in the middle of nowhere with virtually no spare parts.
Whilst the Jeep, Hummer, Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol are all serious 4WDs, there can only be one standard bearer. The "Landy" is the standard by which all others are judged.
PS: So called SUVs are pansy. Most of them are driven by people who's hardest job is to drive across gravel carparks. Real 4WDs cross deserts, forests and mountains, and eat SUVs for breakfast.
