Do you prefer downloading over buying? Why

Ya i remeraber when new cd's cost like 15-20 bucks about 5 years ago. That sucked! Obviously they realized it wouldnt work, and put it back down.

Downloading is far superior for the simple fact of Instant Gratification.

However, I still buy CD's if the album is great. I have a crate with around 200 unopened CD's I am just keeping for my own personal library.

Definately downloading. I haven't purchased a CD in years. Besides, in the tiny town I live in, the 1-2 music shops we have stock mainstream crap, and mainstream crap only. Anything I listen to would require being ordered in, which I can't be assed doing/waiting for.

15min download > 2 week wait

Also, the fact I don't own a CD/record player means they'd be useless to me. I'd encode them once to the PC, then they'd sit and gather dust...

I do a liitle of each, but prefer to download. It's nice to have access to both depending on where you'll be to listen to the music.

I dunno, I have this weird thing about buying cRAB/recorRAB. Yes, I do download, but there is something about owning a hard copy of it.
