I would assume so but rather then asking online, I would call the school you are thinking of, or are transferring to. Every school in every state does things differently.
It probably depends on where you are transferring from. What their credentials and reputation are, are they affiliated with the school you are transferring to, etc.
Talk to the admissions people at the school you want to transfer to, they can give you the exact requirements based on your particular situation.
