I live in MA and want to own a fennec fox. However, the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife (from what I understand) states that you cannot own one without a license from them because they require a license for any endangered animal. They aren't an animal you can have with a normal license you'd get for an "exotic animal," but it is possible to get a propagation license and have them. However, I don't know whether you have to be breeding animals to renew the license, nor how one would come about this license in the first place. I intend to ask my town's animal control officer whether he has any suggestions as to how to go about getting and keeping a fennec (and the necessary licenses), I just was hoping to get some feedback before doing so
