When i try to get TIFF, it orders it like a PPV even though its free. It says i have to put in a telephone line to order but i have rogers home phone, does it matter which service you have?
You might have a problem with Roger's phone.. I don't think you can dial a cable phone setup like you can a regular 'twisted pair' phone... But I don't know for sure, I live in the country and can't get cable (which is why I have ExpressVu).
If your Roger's phone box has a standard phone jack input that will accept standard pulse or tone dialing, and provides the standard dial tone, then it should work OK.
Sorry I misunderstood I thought they asked you for your phone #. I don't have a phone connected to my receiver. I no there is a different pulse or touch tone switch but I don't know if you can only connect the receiver to a Bell Canada subscribed line.
Hook up Rogers jj let's find out or can you plug your Rogers line in?
I can get the TIFF channels without the 0.00 PPV so I wonder if it's a bug. I get the NFL Sunday Ticket every year and just today the games came up. I tried to set up the record in advance for the Pittsburgh-Cleveland game and it gave me the 0.00 PPV request.
Anyone else seeing this? This would be a huge pain to request every game I just want to switch to for a second.
All rogers does is install a box in your basement that connects to Rogers Coax and your internal home phone wiring... so yes the ExpressVu receiver still connected to the same jack... the jacks wires in the basement would be connected to the Rogers Home Phone box... maybe they forgot to connect this jack?
