A skeptic posted this rant on one of my questions lately:
"You really need astrology to be true so much in your head, you can't fathom the remotest suggestion that you are wrong."
My first thought was "Well, he must think he's a psychic to "know" what I think I need...how very unscientific of him."
My second thought was "What if I just want to keep my options open and explore a subject? Does that mean I shouldn't explore something just because someone thinks it's not valid?"
What about you? Do you "need" astrology to be true? Or is there another reason you're interested in it?
Is it okay to explore areas that science doesn't consider "bona fide"?
Do you really feel that astrology harms people?
