Do you love or hate cooking and why?

For me, I hate cooking. It conjures up images of an insipid housewife boasting of her roast chicken andbeaming with pride over souffle risen to perfection, or one huffing over a hot stove. I know this is not a true reflection of anyone who cooks or of anyone who takes pride in cooking, but sometimes I tend to feel that it is so domesticated.
I am a woman, who will eat a man's cooking, as long as I don't have to cook. I have a mind that is geared towards the creativity in the written word, such as poetry, books, the beauty of heart inspired painting My passions lead me away from the kitchen where I find very little to enthuse over. Chicken cooked perfecty, so what. Art created with passion, amazing. Yet I always compliment the chef, whoeverthat is if the food is good. I just prefer things that stimulate me mentally and visually.
And I am only asking out of curiousity.

About the insipid housewife, please know that it is just my opinion of some housewives and not all. I used to be a housewife once, but was not of the 'Ooh I cooked this beautiful roast chicken' and beam with pride as if that was my only accomplishment, variety. Just the, "Well hope you enjoy the food. Now have you read...... or I just read that...what do you think?"
