Do you lounge in a coffee shop?

I've discovered coffee shops are good places to study. However, I sometimes feel bad for buying one thing and then spending hours there. I know some places put limits on long someone can spend at their shop for say free internet with having purchased something. I just feel awkward.

What do you do? Is there an etiquette to hanging out in a coffee shop/diner/cafe if it's not busy? (Since I hate it when it's crowded, I usually just stay just a while or traipse off somewhere else.) Thoughts?

If the place is full you should limit your time, but if the place is empty, stay as long as you want.
but I'm just wondering how a full cup of cold, stale coffee tastes.

No. I never have time to lounge out anywhere. I do miss lounging out at the strip club, there I could order one drink and take my time. So many nice waitresses there too.

Do not worry. Lounge as much as you want. The people want that only because they know you will come back and buy more. Plus, they think the more you stay there, the more people you may bring, like study groups, therefore giving them more money.
