Do You Lose Control Of Your Rational Emotions, When Discussing Politics?

Only when responding in kind to liberal hate speech - but even then, I know EXACTLY what I'm saying. I'm fed up with the hate that Moveon and Media Matters have installed into the younger generation under the guise of political activism. It needs to be fought AGGRESSIVELY.

If words were weapons...etc.

I try my hardest to base my arguments and judgement on fact and logic rather than any kind of emotion or intuition

No, I'm a pretty laid back person. Although politics are a touchy subject for some people, I prefer to actually talk about the issues and solutions rather than just yell.

No. Following freedom meant a long search and brought me to a teeny tiny minority. But since the principles have been so well tested, I can follow them even under pressure.

not often but i make a passionate point so later on the lib i was arguing with will come back and say

--------i thought about what you said and you ARE right

you got to let the words sink in, no one opposing your view point will agree outright but they will think about it.

No, but I have to agree with Snickers! To really discuss politics you have to remain calm cool and collective, so that you can capitalize when the person you're having the discussion with makes an error in their reasoning! And to be able to construct your points using opponents weak arguments!
