Do you like War books?

I recently finished reading the Uthred Of Bebanburg series by Bernard Cornwell(The Last Kingdom, Pale Horseman, Lords of the north and Sword song) and would like to read something similar...any suggestions?

There are also the King Arthur series from Cornwell, starting with "The Winter King" I enjoyed those a lot. I liked the "Archer" series, too.

More King Arthur from Jack Whyte, starting with "Skystone"

i liked his sharpe novels but it depends on what era of war books you like, web griffins brotherhood series and his marine corps series is a good read, the hornblower novels are good,

One of the best books I have ever read is Birdsong by Sebastian Faulkes set in the First World War. At the book group I attend it won universal approval and still is the book all others are compared to!
