I like what you were trying to do. The colors are beautiful; however, I think there is a little too much going on in the photo. The pattern and color of the crisscrossed fence seems to hide the branch of the plant, where as the sunlight bleaches the sky and flowers into a bright white that makes them hard to distinguish from each other.
The camera angle also causes the photo to seem a bit displeasing to the eye as, to me, it seems to set the picture off balance. There are really dark colors on the right and bottom and lighter colors on the left and top.
Something that may have balanced out the picture would be removing whatever that orange-ish colored box is behind the fence.
I wouldn't go with sepia or black and white, personally. It may be a rule that those are the best filters for taking nature pictures, but that also means that's what the majority is doing.
I would recommend a filter that leaves the color but creates a bit more contrast between the fence and the plant, a straighter angle, and a less intense sun.
