i hate it. i had to go to lunch for my friend's b'day today and it was awful.
i just think that they charge so much money for stuff that doesnt taste very good. id rather get mcdonalds or cook something myself. atleast it will be value for money and i would actually like it. and it takes them so long to get the food aswell. i hate waiting. i mean, i can understand if they make something really delicious and they are like a pro chef or something, but i still would never pay like $50 for a plate of food.

and im fussy so i dont usually like any of the fancy sh*t that some restaurants have. today i ended up just getting a chicken burger. i spent $17 on a f*cking chicken burger. i could have bought three from maccas and atleast they would have tasted good. the chicken was "char grilled" or some b*llshit like that and just tasted burnt. i didnt even finish it. and i went to maccas afterwards and bought some nuggets.

i just dont think restaurants are worth the money or worth the wait. the only time i have ever thought a meal at a restaurant was delicious and worth the money and something i couldnt buy cheaper or make at home was when i got this garlic chicken thing in new york. i couldve had seconds. everyone who had it loved it. but apart from that, i think restaurants are a total rip off and i hate them. i would rather stay at home and make pizza.
well i'm in australia which is good cos we dont have to tip. i thought the restaurants in america were way better tho, but yeah most restaurants dont have much variety. when i was in new york i just ordered a burger and fries most of the time. the meals were usually massive tho so atleast they were value for money and come to think of it they tasted pretty good too. maybe we just have bad restaurants where i live.

yeah i also hate that the only healthy things are salads most of the time. cos i'm totally gonna go out to dinner so i can spend $20 on some raw vegetables.

yes I enjoy a good meal without all the work. yeah they are expensive but the food is good. I don't go to Applebee's anymore; I was getting ripped off. I love Ruby Tuesday's, R&S Keystone Diner (local), Wawa, Chambers 19 Bistro & Bar (local)--really any place I can get a good meal. My biggest turn off in a restaurant is if their menu barely has any selections on it. That will turn me off immediately and I probably won't return. I prefer restaurants with menus that are loaded with choices. The worst restaurant I went to was Arthur's Steakhouse in a hotel. I was visiting family. The food took forever, lobster was cold, and I could barely cut my steak, not to mention their menu was pitiful.

Sound like you did go to one of those places that are well how to say to big for their own good sake.

I don't go out much but when I do it is to smaller restaurants, the type that only has one type of red wine, and only three types of beer if you are lucky. But damn the food is good! It smaller but you feel better at place as you don't have to dress to fancy.

I like those small restaurants with just good food. And the good point it is cheap enough to. Maybe I am a little bit more a down to earth "farmer" type I guess but honest food is just delicious. Mexican oven meals with rice and brown beans, delightful rolls with spicy but again delicious vegetarian food.

Oh yeah that is another tip try the vegetarian meals, you would be surprised how much more interesting it can be. Now I am a meat eater but at times I would definitely go for the vegetarian meal because you get more green stuff, nuts, honey and.. goat cheese. YUM

I think the issue is that for some going to a restaurant also means going for the fancy dressing, fancy food but.. yeah.nah!

Give me good food, hell I don't care of the restaurant is next to a busy highway. If the food is good I will be there!

I don't like going to restaurants because I'm trying to loose weight, and going out to eat isn't the most healthiest choice. As far as them ripping you off, some restaurants are very high priced and you don't get much for your buck, so I prefer to cook my own food.
