Do you like garden windows?

i am remodeling my house and have some concerns about the garden window for my kitchen before i buy it....the price is pretty high but does it leak? if you have one do you like it? does it give a lot of sun in the room....im thinking about boarding up the other window on the other wall if this one gives off enough sun for the room so i can put more cabinets up.... if any of you have or wanted one tell me your story...id like to get lots of opinions before i go spending $2000.00 on a window that isnt all its cracked up to be. oh and i love plants and gardens, herbs, ect so if its a good window ill pay the price.
