so far you havn't been able to explain why, just rattle off the same nonsense that caused problems in the first place.

let me guess, you're going to be taking out a HELOC and buying a new car and a cruise as soon as the economy recovers, because you won't have to worry about losing your job anymore, right?

Depends on the person. Can you be an abolitionist and not try to end slavery ?

Honestly those that say abortion = ending of a life, but don't try to ban it are sickening to me.

I haven't really been following this new bill, since I am no longer in the industry. I'm just happy to have all the bullshit behind me. Once the government got heavily involved, it all went to shit.

My comments are just aimed at the idea of federal regulation in general. Obviously there are problems that we would all like to see SOMEONE fix. But the track record of the government getting involved in financial markets isn't exactly a good one.

By law the federal government was supposed to be regulating them actually...
FEDs were supposed to have containment equipment on hand too...

lol free market fails lol

As an efficient market believer, I think we should get rid of insider trading laws.

And SOX is ineffective as fuck.

That isn't what would happen at all. Net neutrality backers want to ensure every site has the same speed.

The should be minimal regulation. Really though, there shouldn't be so many loopholes for currupt businesses to get away with fucking people over. I could write a novel about this, but not on this iPod.

I believe that one of the governments biggest responsibilities are to protect people from large corporations. American capitalism says that all is fair in the name of profit. The populus needs something to protect it. The only thing that can do it is government regulation.

Don't need to invade with a flotilla to heavily damage the US. All you need is a few people.

Imagine the DC snipers times 20. Every major city had middle america, hard working people being killed at random. And that's an EASY plan. Throw in some bombs and the economy would collapse.

less government!

except when it comes to the most expensive parts of our budget. or privacy
