A cowboy walks into a saloon and asks the barman for a drink of water.
The barman pulls out a pistol and fires into the air.

The cowboy thanks him and leaves.

What happened?
 
Old one ... he had hiccups!! ( The cowboy, that is .... ) ... work the rest out !
 
the barman shot through the roof. an it was raining fillin his glass with water
