I have a 2 door 2003 Honda Civic EX. It has an aftermarket keyless entry on it.
the drivers side door will only function when I pull the tab. It also will not function unless the door is closed or the handle on the drivers side door is being pulled open. (The lock/unlock button inside the car does not work nor does the lock/unlock button on the remote to lock or unlock the drivers side door.
The button in the car, the button on the key fob and pulling the passenger side tab all work to unlock and lock the passenger side door.
The key will not unlock either of the doors so basically the only way to get into my car from the outside when it is locked is to use the button on the remote and go in through the passenger side door.
On the driver side door when the key is inserted it will not turn either way. On the passenger side door when the key is inserted it will turn both ways, but the lock will not activate.
As you can imagine this is all very frustrating. If anyone has any ideas how to fix any part of my lock problems please let me know. Please also include your credentials if any, such as if you work for Honda or something like that.
By the way when I use the button from inside the car or on the remote I hear the unlocking click sound but dont see the tab go up or down.
