Do you know any funny films?

I'm busy with homework and revision at the moment so would like a really funny film to take my mind off everything for a couple of hours.

So do you know any funny films which have had you laughing throughout? I mean a laughing out loud, crying with laughter sort of film.

Failing that, do you know any really feel-good films which have left you grinning?

I'm 18 and female. I like a good romance and don't mind a little bit of an action story.

Thanks in advance :D

I don't think South Park is my kind of film from what I've seen of the TV series but is Notting Hill the one with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts? I've never seen it so I'll look that one up. Thanks for the ideas

It is yeah. It's exremely funny imo with a nice romantic theme running through it. Look out for the dinner party they have, extremely amusing and heart warming :)

I will do, thanks for the heaRAB up :D

Anyone got any other ideas? I've got vouchers for five rentals from Blockbusters which I need to use by the end of May.

Well i'm a similar age to you and some of my favourite comedies are

- Knocked Up
- Juno
- Superbad
- White Chicks
- 40 Year Old Virgin

You should check them all out.

OK,

I like the Pirates of the Caribbean films. I find them funny, there's action, a love story and Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. I don't watch films just because of a certain actor or actress but I'll admit that they are part of the reason I like it :D

Stardust. For a fairytale a lot of people get killed but it's magical and always leaves me smiling :D

Just Like Heaven. It's got it's comic moments and, even though it's sad near the end for a few moments, it has a happy ending.

Mamma Mia. I loved it at the cinema and couldn't help humming along (quietly not to disturb anyone :o). I bought the dvd but it's not the same at home on the small screen.

PS I Love You. I cried all the way through this. It's just such a sad film. I like a good cry but it's not what I'm looking for at the moment as I want a really feel-good film not one which has me reaching for the tissues (unless it's due to tears of laughter ;))

What about Hairspray.

Fantastic feel good movie which my sister is always watching.

Some other feel good movies are Forrest Gump and also Bridge to Terebithia is a great movie, a bit similar to Stardust in a way.

Wow, I feel deprived, I've hardly seen any of them  I shall check them all out over the next few days. Thanks for taking the time to make suggestions. I'm off to bed, any more ideas will be much appreciated :)

You can't beat 'Pretty woman' or 'Dirty dancing' for a bit of romance.
As for 'funny' depenRAB on your style of humour, but one film that I always laugh at is 'Carry on Cleo'. An example of the type of jokes - 'Hello, I'm Hengist Pod - and this is my wife, Senna.'
To say nothing of Kenneth Williams uttering those immortal lines - 'Infamy. Infamy. They've all got it in for me.' :D
