i plan to take like 2 or 3, AP Gov, AP calculus, and AP chemistry. now i heard chemistry is a pain so is it really a good idea to take it? i would be able to handle it but personally is it really that hard for you if you took it? and if i take 4 years of Math and Science and Social Studies and English, and manage to get all A's and B's will it look good. because your only required 2 years of History and 2 years of science and 3 years of math so those extra year would look good even if they arent AP wouldnt they? also, if i want to apply for a scholarship what should i do to make it look good. i plan joining Track and Community Service and Interaction Club at school. and do scholarships get awarded to more than one person or does only one scholarship go to one person.and when is the best tiem to apply for scholarships, like Junior Year. by the i will have 3 year of all the main subjects and almost all of my Performing and Vocation Ats and Elective credit earned. cause lie i dont wanna go applying to scholarships senior year if i cant afford it. and i plan to take the P-Sat sophomore year and the SAT the fall of Junior year, that way i can retake it and get practice in case i have to retake the test in the spring if i bomb it the first time.

Well, you have to remember the higher level of school then more work. I am not sure if you meant you are taking 2 or 3 AP classes throughout your whole high school career, but if you did mean that then definitely consider taking more. I am currently a Junior in High School. I took 1 AP class Sophomore Year, 2 AP Classes Junior Year, and will be taking 4 AP Classes senior year. UCs and CSUs always look for a person that has challenged themselves and applied themselves appropriately. If you are going to aim high then you have to work hard for it. Also, you said that you will be taking more than the required classes to graduate High school which is definitely something you need to do to get into a CSU or UC. If you take a look at the A-G requirements then you will see that UCs sometimes recommend taking at least a year or two extra. But they also want that challenge factor, so I would say consider taking more AP classes and apply yourself. If you believe that you can do it, then defintely try. Community service is a definite must. Although the requirement to graduate high school is 20 hours, if you are considering a UC then at least 200 hours is appropriate. That can set you apart from other applicants. I am not sure about Scholarships and when you need to apply for them, but I will be on the lookout for you. I hope I helped.

You should take as many as you can to get into a UC school depending on which one. It will be annoying to take them in high school but you'll be glad later on. You might as well get the math and sciences out of the way now because in high school the teachers will be more helpful.
