Do you have to sit in a jail cell for a day for fighting?

I have done before.
Not for fighting, my friend tried to brake into a car but got caught and we all got arrested for it. I was there till 5am because we all had to get interviewed. This happened like 2years ago though

What country/state?
How violent was the fight?
How resistant were your friends to being arrested?
Was this in Mexico?

In my experience I am usually out in a couple hours unless it's the weekend.
Or I'm in Brazil
Or Seattle (those jerks kept me for 72 hours mid week)

It also depends on whether or not your particular town has a judge available. Most small areas don't have one working till Monday morning.

But it's not "prison" there is nothing creepy happening in holding cells.
 
Well depends at what time you went into cell...like in eevning...
and also dpends who you are
 
Depends on what time of the day you are taken to jail, and what time the judge/magistrae is able to see you. if you go to jail on a friday night it's usually monday morning before you get out, but if you go to jail at 5 am on tuesday, then you'll only be a few hours more than likely.
 
not necassarly or a whole day..u can get arrested but be out within a couple of hrs...but it depends on ur age...where u live and how bad the fight was
