Usually you have to. I'm locked in a contract with Rogers and I tried to end it early, but I would have to pay a fee around $200. :( If your in a contract, generally, to get out of it means to pay them. Koodo however has no contracts, also if your in Canada, Wind Mobile is coming soon and won't have any contracts.
 
wireless contract? I have sprint but i want to switch to at&t to get an iphone. I have 2 wireless phones on my plan. Do i have to pay the early termination fee per phone to end my services with them?

Yes you do, also check out Verizon Wireless' Droid Incredible before you get an iphone. it is better, faster, and Verizon has a much better data network than AT&T.
