do you have to pay a data plan when you are on the unlimited student plan at rogers?

i really want a blackberry and the unlimited student plan at rogers is.. 40 dollars a month for blackberrys.
but then my mom was telling me that you also have to pay a data plan, but i thought that because facebook and all that stuff is included i wouldn't have to pay a data plan .. because it is all included
