Do you have to have a lawyer to get a divorce?

Me and my wife are splitting up. We don't fight or argue and we're still friends, but we fell out of love and now we're moving on to other people. We don't have much money and want to get a divorce, but I don't know if you can get divorced without an expensive lawyer getting involved... Like I said, we don't fight and we can calmly talk about who's getting what and everything... There's no real need for a lawyer in my opinion, but I don't know how divorce really goes. Please help?
 
You need someone who can draw up the legal document which is then filed with the court. You might try looking for legal aid firms that could help, at least draw them up so that you can go to the court house and find out what you need to do with them to get the divorce to pass.
 
no only if your fight for money or something but to do the paper work yes you need some one for that
 
NO you don't need an attorney.
You can find do it yourself divorce books at any good named book store and even in Wal Mart. Just pay for the book file it and pay the court cost and fees.
