Do you have or know anything about LG Dare and Verizon?

I'm trying to lower my monthly bill so I have a few questions....I would ask Verizon but every time I talk to them they just want my effing money.

I have the Dare ..I am paying nearly $100/month for just me. I don't know what I am paying for really I just know I can do anything for that price. The only thing that is important to me is unlimited texting. I hardly make calls and If I do they are 1800 numbers or Verizon customers which are free.

So I thought I would get the TALK plan for 39.99 with 450 minutes and add an unlimited text package for 10/month so the bill would end up being about $60 with the taxes and hidden fees.

BUT TO DO THIS...I would have to get a new phone and renew for another 2-years. Verizon knows how to get you.

SO ...

Does the Dare need a data package?

And WHY do they need data packages if you aren't using anything but texting and calling and taking pictures? Just to take all your money?

Any other simpler solutions??? I just need some help! This is my only phone I dont have a home phone or I would just do a texting plan or get rid of the phone. Pleaaaas help.
BTW I would really only be saving about $20 a month if I do that other plan ...

1. There's no reason to be paying $100 a month for the Dare unless you have unlimited calling or something like that.
2. 1-800 numbers are NOT free
3. Unlimited texting is $20, not $10

So you'd be looking at $60 plus taxes+fees, so $70-$75 all put together.. You could ask at work if they have a work discount through Verizon too.. Changing your price plan does NOT require you to extend or change your contract- you can change your plan at any time with no fee whatsoever.. And no the Dare does not require a data plan
