Do you have My Favs? WHY?!

I use it in conjunction w/ Grand Central, forwarding my crappy work cell phone to my GC # and using the web interface to make outgoing calls. I probably use about 600 to 800 minutes per month that way. My daughter uses it frequently and my Mother uses it for her long distance calls.

On a family plan, it's probably worth it.

^^^^ agreed, on a family plan it makes the most sense, it's nice that for those $10 up to 5 people can each have thier own 5 numbers to call...

personally, i had 1500 minutes before and was going over every once and a while. now i have myfaves and mobile to mobile and use about 150 actual whenever minutes.

also, my mom used to call my grandma long distance and would always have to wait till after 9 to call, now she has my grandma on her myfaves, and can call her house at any time during the day which is great.

for some people it makes sense, for others not so much. i would say most people make the majority of thier calls to 5 people or less. for those, this makes perfect sense.

like multiple people already said, to each his own. at least you have an option.

i loved the my faves when i had it, i'm on the unlimited plan now so i'm good to go, but when i did have it, i had 300 anytime minutes and every month i had minutes left over.

now my my faves count on the other hand lol . one month i had around 2500 minutes and it was between one persons two phone numbers which were both on my faves.

in regards to the UI; i had a curve when i had it and never had the problems that the other poster had, maybe i was lucky or something but it never duplicated my entries and i never lost one when i changed it.

the only thing that i didn't like is that when you run the T-Mobile theme you have to pay attention to what you are doing on the home screen cause if you don't have the trackball in the right spot and the myfaves are highlighted, it doesn't take you to the dialing screen when you hit the phone button it just dials whomever is highlighted at the time. (there were a few early morning mistake calls to my dad and he was none too happy.)

honestly i think that heavycomponent's issue was more with the u/i and not the myfaves service itself. i also have myfaves and i never dial any of my myfaves people from the myfaves screen, but because of this i was able to just lower my alloted minutes on my plan and add he myfaves service. yes the u/i sucks, but its actually a nice service to have if you call a lot of the same people....

well it's the samething with unlimited data, text, free nights and weekends...it really isn't free either you are still paying for it.

however myfaves gives you unlimited calling to up t 5 people that you talk to the most. usually most people spend up to 60% of their minutes communicating with the same 5 people. and with people on different networks both wireless and wireline you can talk to them as much as you want, and spend less. i have had customer on a2,000 minute plan who ihave now dropped to 600 or 1000 minute plans saving them 40$ or so a month. t-mobile's whole idea is sticking together and staying connected. not having to worry about when to use your phone, or being restricted or having to pay more for more minutes.

I have a family plan and unfortunately the other person on my phone plan likes to gab to the same three people like a 16 year old girl. While I was having overages of outrageous proportions before I added MYFAVES. Sure it is a little bit of an extra expense every month but it is saving me a bundle in not having to pay overages anymore.

I think if your kind enough to bring someone onto a family plan to save them a bit of money, you should be able to pull their toenails out with pliers for causing an overage.

I love my little sister, but I could have killed her for doing the same thing to me.
