Do you have My Favs? WHY?!

Personally I think My Favs is a waste, I know some of you might disagree with me but that's just my opinion. I don't know why they even came out with something like this. Your paying for My Fav when you can just go to your contact and call the person. Yeah yeah yeah it's on the front screen and you can get to the person faster. SO?!

I truly think My Favs is dumb!

Can this be a poll so I can see how many people use My Favs? Thanks!

Our family plan uses less than 50% of the minutes that we did before we switched to MyFaves and our montly bill dropped over 30%. You are forgeting that all calls to and from these numbers are "free".

I just dropped myfaves because I wasn't using it. I didn't call my faves enough to justify the extra $10 per month.

MY FAVES IS FOR PEOPLE THAN ALWAYS CALL TO THE SAME PERSON, SO THAS GOOD FOR ME I ALWAYS CALL THE SAME 5 PEOPLE, AND HAVE 300 MIN FREE FOR OTHERS, I THINK I LIKE IT, BUT IS UR OPINION AND THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY,,,,,...

dam i was gonna come here and rip you a new one about how it saves minutes n all, but then i remembered myfaves isnt free...but it does save me a ton of minutes. i guess it depends on how you use your phone. I myself never use the myfaves icon thing to call those on it, that feature i could do without.

MyFaves! I never call the same 5 people to warrant its use also. My texting is unlimited, 80% of my contacts have BB'S, and I have email to get ahold of them.

It depends on ones calling habits as some posters have mentioned. I have a family time rate plan and get enough minutes. Most of my friends and family have TMO so I use the mobile to mobile minutes which is unlimited. I don't have a specific 5 to call so myfavs doesn't help me. It's nice to have options though.

Its simply another option to draw customers. It may not work for some, while others sing its praises.~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

We saved about 40 percent on our bill, I have mobile to mobile for free, and you don't need to use that stupid interface to use my favs.... On our 3 lines it cost around 200 to 300 a month on a bad month, then we switched we saved a ton of minutes and a ton of money... My sister who is on my plan uses her p my favs to call her husband who is in Iraq... Who is on at&t, she moved to Texas and talks for hours with a few of her friends... What I am most surprised us that our plan only cost 150 a month now instead of 2-3 hundred.
My favs my cost more but it is a better deal than a regular plan. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

I do use my faves, but I absolutely hate the user interface on the device!

The billing part of the service works great for me. I only call a few people regularly, so I never use any of my minutes. However......

I absolutely detest the way the user interface cripples my blackberry!!!! It causes a conflict with ringtone profiles to the point of not being able to have a specific ringtone for a contact. The user interface of myfaves creates a conflict between the address book contacts and their settings and then the myfaves contacts and their settings.

I also hate how it makes duplicate contacts in your address book!! If you change someone to a myfaves contact, the tmo system updates your device automatically and puts that contact back into the address book a second time. You actually can't delete it and keep it off. So if you were to have someone as a myfaves contact but didn't have them as a separate entry in your address book, you would lose that contacts info if you took them out of your myfaves.

Not to mention that the myfaves U/I isn't completely compatible with blackberry anyhow. Anyone ever lose their myfaves pictures or have a bubble on the phone you can't edit? It's because it's not compatible!!!!

It's not possible to delete the myfaves U/I from the device either! I've tried many times using javaloader to enter in the string to erase it and always get a message of "couldn't erase: module in use".

I love how the calling of myfaves works, but TMO needs to work on the U/I because this one SUCKS!!

(Thanks for letting me vent!! Have a great day!)

I'm on a 300 minute plan, I talk on my phone at least 1000 minutes a month. At the end of the month I usually have about 150 minutes left in my plan. Do the math. 5's rock.
