Do you have faith in the media?

I personally don't think i could ever believe anything the media says ever again.

ex:

2 boys from my school were killed a few months ago, the media comes out calling them drug dealers because they thought that they were connected to the local gangs (racist bastards, not all brown guys are in a gang) they were the type of guys to take the highest math class, be in every extended day class, and poor their hearts into sports. i know they weren't in gangs, but the media went on everyday about it.

is it bad that because of that i would rather not watch the news? that if i do i don't believe a single thing they say, with or without witnesses.

Also..

do you have any stories about how the media took your story out of context?

these days its hard to find credible journalism. Its impossible to find one without a bias, since everyone has some sort of bias, you can tell from the content given, or the very tones of there voice. I find it good to hear both sides of the story, so i watch a liberal news channel (NBC) and then a conservative one (Fox News). You cant depend on someone to tell you how things are, you have to see it and than make your own opinion based on your own beliefs or experiences. There is no news provider that isnt bias. Only first hand witness is not bias

you really cant trust any type of media. i usuall just take my news straight from the horses mouth and if i dont i usually have my doubts! Dont have any interesting stories about the media but there have been moments when they were exaggerating or lying! screw them...
