Do you hate it when...

What, is he producing an A&E 'Biography' on them?

Seriously, I'm far more peeved by the credits being crunched for advertisements. We know what's coming on. Lord knows you tell us every freakin' commercial break. Just let us enjoy the credits.

This practice absolutely RUINED Cartoon Network's final airing on Yu Yu Hakusho.

I mean, the final scene was wrapping up, Yusuke and Keiko are laughing on the beach, the full english version of Smile is a Bomb starts up, and then...

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT GRIM SAID TO ME AT THE SUPERMARKET THE OTHER DAY?"

God, I've held a grudge against the City Era announcer ever since. Ruined a perfect ending.

My main problem with this practice is that the credits should be heard and seen normally, as they were intended to. But another issue i have is with the completely unecessary nature of it. It's not like we don't already have TV guides, Electronic Program Guides, the internet (tv.com etc) and of course our own viewing patterns to guide us to what shows are on, and the excuse (which i am guessing is the network's reason for doing this) of keeping us watching, is kind of silly when i'd be far more glued to the tv if they played a good theme tune than if they showed a promo for a reality tv show i've seen fifteen times that day already, and the show i hate anyway.

I've always been a fan of the classic simplistic system of opening credits, show, ending credits, with ads (since they're necessary). In fact i'm not really into previews, flashbacks to previous episodes or 'next time' trailers either, but i think that when you ruin the end credits just to fit in some more network ads it ruins not only the credits but the whole viewing experience. Some of my favorite live action and animated series have catchy themes like doctor who, the simpsons etc and it seems shows are becoming more and more utilitarian in fulfilling their entertainment purpose. We may as well just hook ourselves up to a happiness machine or something.

I absolutely HATE when that happens >_<

I love listening to my favorite Intros Instrumentally... its even more annoying when they remove the Song all together.

During the premiere run of Gundam 00 on Sci-fi, this stupid practice cut out the last 5 or so minutes of the finale.

You have Daybreak's Bell playing, epilogue-esque material (plus, stuff setting up season 2) and it all gets cut for yet ANOTHER Battlestar Galactica advertisement. Pissed me off for the rest of the week.

... The way you built that up, kinda made me laugh. Just imagining all that suspense and all of the sudden that.

... On that note, a lot of those voice things they put on during the ending credits to advertise the next show always bothered me. Not like I was usually missing out on much, but for some reason the interruption of the ending theme is a bit obnoxious.

I wouldn't mind it very much as long there's no original clips made just for the credits. In fact, there were times when I was more interested in reading the voice actors' names and the characters they lended their voices to.

I hate this. It happened to me today on disney XD. i like hearing TSSM's theme and then they put in some Phineas and Furb commercial on while the credits were rolling for TSSM.
