Do you find this horror story blurb/opening exciting? Would you read on?

Horror story plot:


An English physiatrist, Dr. Lenner, has just flown to Russia for work experience in lunatic asylums. His first patient, Isabella, is one of the many insane victims of St. Lukes Mental Hospital located in Moscow. He is researching diseases and infections that cause this strange insanity in these patients, but while everyday visiting Isabella he finds out a very eerie and sinister secret about the hospital.
 
You try for a "catch" at the end, but it is really too general to spark a lot of interest. "An eerie and sinister secret" could be so many things, that I'm not sold yet. Give some more detail here, be more specific.
