Your question doesn't have one precise answer, most writers will all agree that they go through dry periods where they have no creativity, anyone can write "roses are red, violets are blue" but to write something that's really meaningful, I believe those creative juices must be flowing, hope that gives you another prospective on writing poetry,Mercee.

Often depends. I can sometimes write lines in a few minutes. But i wait sometimes...

A lot of the time my lines come from subliminal thinking which i actually realises makes a whole lot of sense. I no this sounds like a bad thing however i feel it's my creativity working in some stupid way.
