If a person really thinks minorities are lazy or corrupt enough to use false racism accusations in order to get hand-outs and avoid work, that's exactly the kind of prejudice that affirmative action counters.
@truthseeker818: qualifications are a factor. Affirmative action says that when there are two equally qualified candidates, race can be taken into account under certain circumstances (such as a history of racial discrimination in that particular institution).
